Past pupils
A number of past pupils have successfully auditioned for various full time dance colleges including Doreen Bird, Elmhurst Ballet School, Laine Theatre Arts, London Studio Centre, Northern Ballet School, RAD College, Red Roofs theatre school, Royal Ballet School, South Liverpool Performing Arts and Stella Mann College.
Many Allenova pupils over the school's 26 years of operation have gone on into the theatre, teaching and some now have schools of their own.
Our pupils have also performed with Operatic societies in Operas such as Turandot, The Bartered Bride and Madam Butterfly. One dancer was also featured on Blue Peter performing a solo national dance from Thailand on the same show that Westlife were singing live!!
Many pupils have been used as models for dancewear catalogues, as backing dancers for music videos.
They have also won places in pantomimes at the Corn Exchange in Newbury and the Hexagon in Reading, and the Haymarket Theatre in Basingstoke.
Past pupils have also performed at the Royal Albert Hall – and in shows across the West End in various shows including Billy Elliot.
School Achievements
Lots of our pupils have also been involved in fashion shows and modelling and recently some have been involved with filming as extras and in other castings. We have also been asked to supply dancers for Video shoots recently and a documentary on teenagers and their lives.
One of our ex-pupils - Natalie Dormer was featured in the blockbuster film Casanova alongside Heath Ledger. She was also involved in the tv series The Tudors as Anne Boleyn. Well done Natalie!
Lynsey Thurgar is now teaching out in Austria after touring and performing in many shows such as Barbarella, Hairspray and more.
Amari Ifill-Tyson successfully auditioned for a place in the Lion King 'Cub School', and was also successful in achieving a place in the London Children's Ballet alongside fellow pupil Anna Head.
Katrina Raschen also danced with the National Youth Ballet Company.
School Achievements
For many years running we have had lots of our pupils successfully audition for the pantomines at The Hexagon in Reading, Corn Exchange in Newbury, and in Henley, Bracknell, Aldershot, Camberley & Slough as well as the English Youth Ballet Company.
All England Dance & Festivals
Lots of Allenova pupils have achieved great successes in various festivals and competitions such as ISTD Grandison Clarke Awards and All England Dance Finals. Lots of medals and trophies have been won by our school in various dance disciplines.
We have also had finalists and medal winners at The All England Dance competition.
Our pupils have also won many places in the British Arts Awards competition and Tanya Allen is currently the runner up Teacher of the Year.
